can you teach goodness?
If you can, try to measure your own "goodness" before you judge somone else. And also, theres a big difference between telling someone they need to change for you, and telling someone they need to change for themselves.

what could you live without; what could you not?
- grape-flavored medicine
- self-doubt
- bees
- smog
- paper cuts
- bad jokes
- catty girls (catty means shallow, mean, etc)
things I need to have:
- The Message
- my friends
- any of my family
- Jerry Clower (a really old comedian)
- my music :]
- food
- air
- Jones Soda and Bagel Bites
- movies
- cool people
my life would be really different without things like electricity, cars, and all the other junk people take for granted. but if i didn't have my family, or The Message, I'd be a whole lot worse off. I'd be a really sad, confused, lonely person who doesn't understand things that I understand now. God is my mentor and I get through a lot of stuff with his help. Lastly, music is my way of venting about the stuff that happened that week; so if that didn't exist, I'd be really up-tight and depressed.

:[ :[ :[
so here's the deal:
my family always has this annual pumpkin carving party,
and they want me to bring someone this time. so yeah here's me-
"hey do you want to go to a party w- me?"
"sure where is it?"
"at my sisters house"
"...what?"
"yeah my whole family is gonna be there, and were gonna carve pumpkins, eat chili,
and there is gonna be a bunch of kids running around covered in pumpkin guts."
"yeah I think ill pass"
and to make matters worse, my mom wants me to bring a guy. me and my brother Brent
are the only people in my family (over the age of 16) who aren't engaged, married, or dating. so the pressure is even worse on me now. i mean, its not like I'm ashamed of my family
or anything. they re pretty cool. its just that i cant see anyone (especially a guy) lining up
at my door going- "hey! id love to come to the party and watch your family eat chili
and make jack-o-lanterns all night!" :[[[ so help, I'm desperate.

sneezing
sneezing..it's really weird. all your muscles contract and you cant move for about 2 seconds. and its especially awkward if the room is really quiet and you try to hold it like it barely matters, but everyone knows it makes it look even more awkward. but when your at home and you feel one coming, you just let it go. some people even try to make it bigger by breathing out really fast. why? and then there are the people that get offended if you don't say bless you, or excuse me... seriously. cover your mouth, wipe your hands on your jeans, and move along! the only thing that really grosses me out is when people sneeze into their hand and then look at it. (gag) i don't really want to watch you check your nose-juice for valuables. and heres a fun activity you can try next time you sneeze: try to hold your eyes open. its nearly imposible.

an accident that could have been avoided
we were in her room looking at a yearbook from her old school when
we heard her brother's car come in the driveway. she said that his
friends were coming over to play Rockband and hang out for a while.
his friends are uber-cute so i begged her to come downstairs with me
so we could hang out with them.
we had all been playing for about 20 minutes and i went into the kitchen
for a vitamin water. while i had the fridge open, one of them said- "can you
grab me one of those?" i tried to act all smooth about it and tossed it to him.
well, turns out, he wasnt looking when i threw it and it pegged him right in the
back of the head. i ran over to check on him and i tripped over paige's cat.
everyone was laughing at me, and i was so embarassed i went upstairs
and watched Jay Lenno for the rest of the night.

five facts
when I was little, I was in a dentist's office playing on one of those fun roll-chairs, and fell. I hit the back of my head and got a bad concussion. when I woke up in the hospital, I was temporarily blind for about an hour and a half.
2.
my favorite color is purlple, and my favorite flowers are orchids.
3.
when I was 14, I was riding four-wheelers with my cousins and crashed into a tree.
one of the branches cut my leg and I had to get 37 stitches. it looks like a shark-bite.
4.
Im allergic to wasps, and when I get stung by them, they make me nausious and sometimes if
its more than one, I halloucinate.
5.
My dad works at Ciba Vision, a contact lens company, and my mom is a dental hygenist. so I
get dental work done for free, and also any contacts or glasses. but my sister has 20-20 vision
and straight teeth.

success
1. "the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors."
2. "the attainment of wealth, position, honors, or the like."
3. "a successful performance or achievement: The play was an instant success."
4. "a person or thing that is successful: She was a great success on the talk show."
How would you define it?
Some people think that success is getting through life withought messing up. That true success is having money or tons of friends. But I'm not going to pretend that having tons of friends isnt all that great, or that money doesnt bring happiness. It does feel pretty sweet to buy something really, REALLY expensive just because you can. And that happy, light feeling you get when you log on to myspace and see- "new friend request " is awesome. But the fact is,money and friends do bring you happiness, but it's temporary pleasure, not success.
How will you know if you are successful?
Like I said before, being successful isnt about getting through life untouched. The fact is, everyone messes up. Some worse than others, and others more than you think. But your not successful because you came out like it never happened. You can be successful by picking yourself up and getting back in the game. Having people help you out of situations doesnt make you co-dependent, it just means you have good friends. Besides, if you've gone through life without tripping over somthing or saying the wrong thing to the wrong person- it doesnt mean your successful, it means your probably the Second-Coming.
Who would you describe as successful?
Somone who can keep trying, and still be (realistically) optimistic. Basically- somone who can learn to look at the world like it's a gift, not like its one big beauty pageant. And as far as i can see, if you want to be successful, learn to rely on yourself but still love to be with people. When you meet somone, leave them speechless. Leave your mark on the world while its still here, and while theres still time.
